Patrick Rundle whose family has run the King Arthur's Castle Hotel
successfully for 47 years announced today that the hotel property and business
has been bought by a private international investment group for an undisclosed
sum.
The Group, headed by Edward Corbally Stourton is looking forward to
maintaining the traditions of the area and sees a bright future for the Cornish
economy.
"We feel strongly that the Cornish Tourist industry is set for a gradual but firm increase over the next few years and King Arthur's Castle Hotel and our group certainly intends to make sure that we continue to play our part in that." said Mr Stourton.
Mr. Patrick Rundle who will be continuing on as an advisor to the group has this to say. "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Mr. Stourton to this part of the world. I believe that this move will be of great benefit to the area and to the Hotel and I hope all our friends will join me in giving "Ted" a very warm welcome to our community. He has had a love of the area for sometime and I believe that we have a wonderful new proprietor for the Castle which has and will continue to play such a positive role in the community.
